Industry Background
In the construction industry project owners need assurance that contractors will perform the work agreed upon and pay specified subcontractors, laborers, and material suppliers. A surety bond is a three-party agreement where the surety company assures the project owner that the contractor will perform a contract in accordance with the contract document. It offers assurance that the contractor is capable of completing the contract on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Since 1893, the U.S. Government has required contractors on federal public works contracts to obtain surety bonds. All 50 states and most local jurisdictions require surety bonds on public works. In addition, owners of private construction also manage risk by requiring surety bonds.

Sales Executive Candidate Profile
  • History of strong social interaction

  • Sales experience

  • Business-to-Business direct sales experience

  • Articulate. Having the ability to communicate conceptually

  • Highly disciplined

  • Self motivate, confident entrepreneurial personality

  • Strong work ethic

  • Effective telephone marketing skills

  • Proficient computer and Internet skills

Sales Executive Responsibilities
  • Making all appointments with Company Owners to introduce our patented management system using conventional selling methods

  • Expected to follow a scripted sales process, which includes a power point presentation on a lap top computer

  • Analyze corporate as well as personal financial statements for the purpose of establishing the prospects qualifications

  • Maintaining accurate database for prospect development and industry intelligence

  • Providing monthly forecast reports as well as activity reports as required

  • Develop new business using Colonial Surety Company’s proprietary lead database
