- Match Minimum Requirements for Examination with Experience. You must have a minimum of four years of contracting experience to receive a license. In addition, you must pass the Arizona Contractor Statutes and Rules Examination as well as the Trade Examination. However, this may not apply if you are eligible for a waiver. - Obtain a Contractor’s Bond. You must file a contractor’s bond for the amount needed by the Board. The amount of the bond will fluctuate based on the license you are applying for as well as the total gross volume of projects you have completed.
- Submit Application. Once you have completed the steps above, you can submit all components to the Registrar of Contractor’s address.
