Pursuant to Bulletin No. 20-15 issued by the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, any New Jersey policyholder who may be experiencing a financial hardship due to COVID-19 may request a 90-day grace period for the payment of insurance premiums. Such affected policyholders may elect the 90-day grace period to begin on May 1, 2020 or retroactively back to April 1, 2020.
During the 90-day grace period:
- If you have a financial hardship from COVID-19, we will not cancel affected policies due to nonpayment of premium.
- For affected policyholders, we will waive any late payment fees.
- Late payments will not be considered in any future premium calculations.
After the 90-day grace period, the premium due but not paid during the grace period, may be paid over the remainder of the current policy term or up to 12 months in up to 12 equal installments, whichever is longer.
