The Governor of Rhode Island and the Direct of the Rhode Island Department of Health offered new details on the state’s expanding response to the current epidemic. After launching Phase 3 on Tuesday, June 30th, Governor Raimondo outlined the following guidance:
- Public events are allowed to hold up to 125 people inside or 250 people outside.
- All indoor settings operating at a square footage capacity are permitted to allow one person per 100 square feet inside, as long as all individuals are six feet apart.
- Face coverings must be worn in public at all times, both inside and outside establishments, in spaces where six feet of social distancing cannot be carried out. There are exceptions, however, for children under the age of two and anyone whose health may be negatively impacted by wearing a face mask.
